Why Blast Radius Matters for AI

Blast radius is a familiar concept in security architecture. Applied to AI, it becomes central. An AI system's blast radius is not just the systems it lives on. It is every tool it can call, every data source it can access, every downstream system its outputs affect, and every action it can take autonomously.

Two AI agents can look identical functionally but have very different blast radii. One agent scoped to a single knowledge base and a single output channel has a small blast radius.
